Turkeyfest Baseball Tournament

This past weekend I played in a baseball tournament in Strathroy as part of their annual "Turkeyfest"...we were expecting to be "0 and 3 and home", but somehow we won our pool, won the quarter finals and advanced to the semi-finals (where we lost by one run 4-5). So we finished 3rd overall out of 16 teams. I was quite surprised because we played against REAL baseball teams, most of which play together once or twice a week. I don't think the other teams (in their fancy uniforms) liked losing to us ;-)

We camped out at Denise's place Sat night, she luckily bought a 12 x 12 pool, that totally saved us because it was about 38 degrees out and we just cooked out on the diamond with no shade or breeze. I think I stayed in that pool for about 2 hours!
